XV Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to securing diverse and sustainable funding to support USA Rugby Women’s National 15s Team. Our work centers on athlete support, ensuring players are resourced, visible, and valued on the world stage.
Role Overview
XV Foundation is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Marketing Manager to lead our digital presence and storytelling. This individual will work closely with the founders and board to develop and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that strengthens engagement, builds community, and supports fundraising and organizational growth.
This is a paid role, with compensation negotiable based on experience and scope. We are open to part-time, contract, or freelance arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage a social media and marketing calendar aligned with XV Foundation’s mission, campaigns, and fundraising priorities.
- Collaborate with founders and board members to plan content around key moments, events, and initiatives.
- Balance storytelling, education, and calls to action across platforms.
Content Creation
- Create 1–2 engaging social media posts per week across relevant platforms.
- Design graphics and visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Assist with short-form video and visual storytelling when appropriate.
- Draft and produce a monthly newsletter, including copy, layout, and visuals.
Brand & Voice
- Maintain consistent brand identity, tone, and messaging across all channels.
- Translate athlete stories, donor impact, and organizational updates into compelling digital content.
- Ensure thoughtful and inclusive representation aligned with the Foundation’s values.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track social and email performance using platform analytics.
- Provide monthly insights and recommendations to improve reach and engagement.
- Experiment with content formats and posting strategies to grow audience interaction.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with XV Foundation leadership in a collaborative, fast-moving nonprofit environment.
- Manage feedback and revisions efficiently.
- Proactively pitch content ideas and engagement strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in marketing, communications, or digital media.
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
- Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Substack, or similar) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience in sports, nonprofit, or women-led organizations.
- Basic video editing or motion graphics skills.
- Understanding of fundraising or donor engagement through digital platforms.
